Henrike von Dewitz: LIKE A LIGHTNING

In the video installation “Like a Lightning” Henrike von Dewitz deals with nature phenomena which appear in unexpected moments and disappear as fast as they came up. The visitor is invited to get lost in the artist’s observations and new visual creations in terms of projected images on special surfaces, structures and sound. Lightning is a phenomena that occurs unexpectedly for us humans and is quickly gone. For the artist, this installation is a metaphor of the current unstable and unpredictable situation of life on that planet.
