HOW TO GET TO THE FESTIVAL SITE
The festival is happening at Grad Snežnik - Castle Snežnik (Kozarišče 67, 1396 Stari trg pri Ložu). In order to keep CO” emissions low, try to co-share the rides to the festival venue. You can join Facebook group Floating Castle Festival | RIDE SHARES 🚒, where you can either offer or request a ride to the festival.
From Ljubljana to the festival you can also come by:
- Prevozi.org (“Ljubljana” – “Stari trg pri Ložu”)
- Bus (”Ljubljana AP” – ”St.trg pri Ložu or Iga vas”)
- The closest railway station is at Rakek, where you then take the bus to Stari trg pri Ložu.
Notice: In the village of Pudob, before Kozarišče, the bridge is completely closed — a detour is in place via Babno Polje – Markovec – Iga Vas. Please follow the detour signs and festival arrows.
PARKING
If you’re arriving by car, please park in the specially marked parking areas before entering the festival site. Parking outside of designated areas is not allowed!
As the festival area is a protected site of natural and cultural heritage, we kindly ask that you follow signage and the instructions of the festival staff. By doing so, you’re also helping us maintain good relations with local landowners.
All vehicles must be removed from the parking area no later than Monday, August 11, 2025, by 8:00 AM.
CAMPING
A nearby meadow will serve as a designated camping area for festival visitors. A quiet camping zone will also be available, approximately 15 minutes on foot from the main festival site.
Camping is included in the festival ticket price and is ONLY allowed in the marked camping areas.
Since space is limited, please be mindful and use it rationally.
We cannot guarantee that the terrain will support large or heavy camper vans, as the ground may be too soft.
Access to the campsite by car will be restricted — regardless of how you arrive, please follow the instructions of our stewards upon arrival.
Camping conditions are very basic: there will be cold shared showers and drinking water available.
There is no electricity in the campsite.
Open fires are strictly prohibited!

TOILETS

WASTE

We kindly ask all visitors to dispose of their trash responsibly and keep their camping areas clean.
RESPECT FOR THE SITE
The festival takes place in the park surrounding Snežnik Castle, a protected natural and cultural heritage area. Majestic old trees, carefully landscaped grounds, and historic architecture create a fairytale-like setting rarely found elsewhere. The trees are not just a beautiful part of the environment — they are protected natural monuments and part of a national cultural heritage site. To prevent soil compaction and protect these ancient trees, please do not walk, place equipment, or drive near tree roots.
We are all responsible for treating the festival grounds with care and making sure we leave no trace behind.
