Ethno Histeria World Orchestra is an international project that has been bringing together musicians from all over the world for more than 20 years already. Every year, in the middle of summer, musicians from all continents travel to Slovenia, where they intensively rehearse the program that they create together during the workshops. The musicians exchange folk and traditional compositions from their own surroundings, and in some cases also original compositions, which are then manifested in the sound of the original interpretation of the 60-member orchestra.
Very intense 24hours musical workshops are upgraded with “Etno Histeria World Orchestra tour” from the sea, to mountains, city centres, as well as prisons, old peoples homes and courtyards. On our way we will stop in the caves, by the lakes, we'll meet the local people, eat, drink and sing with them. The tour will end on site-specific Floating Castle Festival, where you have opportunity to arrange your own concerts and see the outcome of other workshops and masterclasses that will be happening at the same time.
Orchestra is led by a group of experienced mentors, plays without notes and always creates new dynamics with improvisation, which is why every concert of their tour is a new and unexpected event for both the listeners and the orchestra.
