Daria Gosteva (KHWOSHCH)
A documentary puppet performance by a Russian scenographer based in Prague, Daria Gosteva, tells the story of a strange house under the spruce trees outside Moscow. From memory emerges a mysterious house with a cold kitchen made of window frames and steep red stairs, along with its bizarre inhabitants and neighbors: a singing burzujka, an Afghan war veteran, the Dong and Jumbli, and other strange residents of this near yet so distant world. Originally a home theatre project, Moscow-Dachnoje has since been performed at many festivals and theaters across the Czech Republic and internationally. In 2022, the production became part of the Nová síť za Ukrajinu project, which aimed to present artists and works addressing current issues in Ukraine and Russia in various regions of the Czech Republic.
