Lara Božak: 'Kap lja bregove dere' project

The project Kap lja bregove dere (A drop of water carves the slopes) is an attempt of a dialogue between sound and poetry through organised and experimental position of sound. It is an interaction of spoken poetry through the staging of various sonic gestures – contextualised sound, noise, dripping of water… The poetry-sound performance was created on the occasion of the publication of the poetry collection Kap lje kap lje by the Slovenian poet Lara Božak. Through the dosage of symbolic links and its double structure, through which conceptual and narrative poems are intertwined, the performance traces the flow or dripping of transgenerationality and of things that, in one way or another, flow away and, as dictated by the physical laws of water, reappear at new, sometimes completely unexpected ends. Out of the flow, which more and more resembles the flow of a river and finally the flow of the ocean, like meanders emerge the stories of (mostly) women who have already left, who are leaving or whose lives are sliding through their fingers.
