Mr Paganini
Combining musical influences from around the world, The Paganini Caravan is an eclectic band based in Rome (Italy) which claims 'gutter-jazz', world music, songwriting, ragtime, cabaret, vaudeville, blending the old with the new in all its music. The Caravan Party is an explosion of energy in the form of music. In the nearly two hour performance, the individual musical souls of the members of the 'urban orchestra' merge into a tornado of sounds and emotions from which it is inevitable to not be overwhelmed. The musicians convey the clear feeling that they are the first to have fun on stage. They get off the Caravan to gather around the fire to sing and dance together with all: they jump, dance, sing, scream and laugh like in a gypsy wedding while Paganini and Morgana evolve like spirits distributing scotch whiskey, with a punk approach that is an integral part of a show studied in every aspect. In this mad-cabaret of a clandestine club at the time of prohibition, the musical balance is that of a car whose gears are run by fun and musical professionals. The result is a suggestive musical universe characterized by a strong theatrical component and continuous interaction with the audience. It's an experience that goes beyond a simple show, it's a torrid intercultural and multi-disciplinary dancefloor.
