Chapulines plays a unique interpretation of son jarocho. This is a traditional Mexican music genre that they combine with Caribbea n sounds and rhythms. The band was formed in Mexico after a musical meeting between singer and Jarana player Beto and violinist Graciela. Back in Europe, the group was completed with percussion and double bass. They have been playing together since late 2019 with Ghent (Belgium) as their home base.
