çhâñt élečtrónïqùe is an international collective of producers and singers interested in exploring the potentialities of traditional music and electronics. Coming from sixcountries across two continents – Argentina, Portugal, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France and Ireland – they first meet in Portugal in 2019 for a collective rumination on transitioning the boundaries of their own individual cultural heritage. Their debut album “çhâðt élečtrñnïqùe vol. 1”, is their first step on this journey and sees the group combining traditional polyphonic singing traditions with synth and computer based electronic patterns and textures.
