The participants of the masterclass will learn and discover the art of walking on stilts from 0.5 - 1.5 meters high.We will mostly focus on the dynamics and technicalities of 1 meter high. Alternatively, we will work with different types of hand stilts. We will cover basics of acrobatics, falls and lifting from the ground.
As part of the workshop you will get your own pair of stilts, that is also included in the price of the masterclass. In order for the stilts to be made, we ask you to state your shoe size and the height of the calf (from the ground below the knee when you are sitting) in the application form!
Jiří N. Jelínek (CZ)
Jiří N.Jelínek studied acting at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theater at DAMU. He was a guest at the National Theater in Prague, at the Norwegian NIE Theater and V.O.S.A. Theatre, Mansterville, X10, MDP etc.
In 2009, he founded the dance and acrobatic group of stilt walkers Long Vehicle Circus, whose first premiere took place at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai. He performs as a violinist and singer in the band Fekete Seretlek.
